Assessing


The Assessing Department is responsible for preparing the assessment roll each year for all property in Caledonia Township according to the General Property Tax Law of the State of Michigan.

There are a variety of other duties performed by this department as well, such as; maintaining property record cards, field reviews on new construction and current parcels, processing Property Tax Affidavits, Personal Property Statements, assessment appeals, Land Division Applications and updating parcel maps. Principal Residence Exemptions, Veteran's Exemptions and Poverty Exemptions are also filed with the Assessing Department.

The Assessor is available Monday and Wednesday from 8:00am - 4:00pm.
