About Us

Welcome to Caledonia Township

Caledonia Township is a growing rural community located in the southeast corner of Kent County. We are only 20 minutes from the City of Grand Rapids and pride ourselves on maintaining our small-town feel as we continue to be one of the fastest-growing communities in the County. We are currently home to parks, the Thornapple River, the Paul Henry Trail, two golf courses, and a diverse group of churches. These are only of few of the amenities we have to offer.

We are minutes from the culture of the big city, the Gerald R. Ford International Airport, and many shopping areas. Our northern border hosts the M-37/M-6 interchange providing access to Grand Rapids, Lansing, Holland, and Kalamazoo making us a prime commuter community.

Although Grand Rapids is just around the corner, providing abundant employment opportunities, Caledonia is also home to several industrial parks and office parks providing quality jobs close to home. Farmers Insurance calls Caledonia home providing 5000 local jobs, not to mention the many manufacturing facilities, health care offices, and our thriving small business community.

Businesses need an educated workforce and Caledonia is home to public and private schools and Davenport University that provide quality educational opportunities for our residents.

We invite you to visit our community. Please feel free to contact the Township Office if you would like more information on our area.

We hope to see you soon!
